NOC Mission

  • To develop, support and deliver a National Officials Program.
  • To promote excellence in officiating by ensuring Officials follow established curriculum guidelines across the country.
  • To provide communication tools for Officials to access up-to-date officiating and race information and thereby develop and/or maintain their officiating skills.
  • To ensure there are sufficient numbers of highly skilled and qualified Officials for the needs of the national and provincial race programs.

NOC Objectives

  • To establish and administer national standards as they relate to Officiating
  • To ensure standards applied consistently across Canada
  • To develop and maintain certification standards and training curricula.
  • To certify and classify all alpine Officials in Canada
  • To recommend to ACA national rules as they apply to ski racing in Canada
  • To liaise with each PSO to ensure there is dissemination of Officials information

Competitors have the right to expect that Officials have a high level of expertise so that results reflect the athletes' ability and skills without being compromised by the incompetence of race Officials or "luck".
