NOC Mission
- To develop, support and deliver a National Officials Program.
- To promote excellence in officiating by ensuring Officials follow established curriculum guidelines across the country.
- To provide communication tools for Officials to access up-to-date officiating and race information and thereby develop and/or maintain their officiating skills.
- To ensure there are sufficient numbers of highly skilled and qualified Officials for the needs of the national and provincial race programs.
NOC Objectives
- To establish and administer national standards as they relate to Officiating
- To ensure standards applied consistently across Canada
- To develop and maintain certification standards and training curricula.
- To certify and classify all alpine Officials in Canada
- To recommend to ACA national rules as they apply to ski racing in Canada
- To liaise with each PSO to ensure there is dissemination of Officials information
Competitors have the right to expect that Officials have a high level of expertise so that results reflect the athletes' ability and skills without being compromised by the incompetence of race Officials or "luck".
