NATIONAL PROGRAMS

By implementing the necessary programs and structures, Canada will become a world leader in the development of young skier racers by 2010 and beyond. By putting into place an exceptionally strong coaching system, Canada will ensure that its coaches are recognized worldwide for their professionalism, dedication and hard work.

The national development program focuses on the entry-level athletes who have the ambition and talent to eventually join the National Development Team. It is a very powerful and flexible program aiming to facilitate the transition of athletes from the point of entry through the various levels of competition towards the National Development Team.

ACA focuses on four major strategies to improve the development system. The common objective underlying these strategies is to create opportunities for coaches and athletes to share information.
