FIS Cards

Registration Procedure

The following is in place for the upcoming season but is subject to change according to Alpine Canada Alpin:

All athletes who are FIS eligible need to do the following to register for FIS. All FIS registrations must be submitted to ACA via your Provincial Sport Organizations:

  • Be a current paid up member in good standing of ACA.

  • All FIS athletes must carry a national card through ACA.

  • For registrations postmarked before June 1st you must complete the FIS declaration and medical form. Membership payment to ACA must be included with forms in order for them to be activated once they are received. All FIS registrations are to flow through provincial offices.

  • For late registrations: postmarked after June 1st you must complete the FIS declaration and medical form and submit payment. However, there is a late payment fee. For registrations postmarked after September 1st there will be a 2nd late fee penalty applied. All registrations/payments must be received at least 14 days prior to each FIS list close date to ensure registration on the next list and to avoid additional fees for immediate points declaration. For immediate points confirmation, complete the FIS declaration and medical form. Payment to ACA must be submitted through your local PSO.

  • PSO's are required to ensure that each athlete is aware of the cost of FIS cards to ACA and of the requirements of included Out of Country Medical policy.

  • It is the responsibility of the athlete to ensure their name appears on the FIS site with active status prior to their first FIS race. Athletes whose names do not appear and have paid registration must contact their PSO who will in turn contact ACA. Please allow a one week period to have status properly activated. Appropriate late fees will be assessed.

  • First year FIS athletes are required to sign the FIS declaration; all athletes are required to provide a medical evaluation annually.

  • A complete list of FIS athletes must be provided by each province to ACA. Signed FIS registration and medical forms for all athletes must be held by the province at the PSO office. Only FIS registrations that are complete with registration, medical and declaration (1st time FIS) can be processed by the PSO who will in turn forward registration information to ACA for activation.

  • All current CAST athletes in good standing with ACA will receive FIS card coverage for the season. (This includes out of country accident coverage and their national card membership). All CAST retired athletes will continue to receive FIS card coverage as long as they remain in the top 100 on the FIS list.

Cancellation of FIS Cards

  • Request for cancellation must come through PSO to ACA, prior to October 15th.
  • A fee of $55 will still be processed by ACA.
  • Absolutely no cancellations after the October 15th date.
