Program overview

The TELUS Awards of Excellence for Alpine Canada Alpin are designed to honour outstanding individuals who excelled during the previous ski racing season.

Throughout the alpine skiing season, thousands of officials, volunteers, coaches and ski racers of all ages worked tirelessly to maintain a sustainable ski racing system in Canada and provide opportunities for young athletes to reach their potential.

The TELUS Awards of Excellence for Alpine Canada Alpin have been granted annually since 2002. Throughout the years, more than 100 outstanding recipients have been honoured for their relentless pursuit of excellence.

Through our online system, Canadians from across the country are invited to vote for their favourite ski racers. Take the time and vote for your Fan Choice of the Year

The award nominees are selected upon receipt of a complete application from nominators voting via the Nomination Online Form All applications are required to meet the selection criteria in order to be evaluated.

Award nominations are open to the general public. Provincial Sport Organizations' are encouraged to send in nominations as well and will be contacted by the ACA selection committee to ensure all nominees are members of good standing within their respective province.

All applications will remain confidential. Only the winner of each category will be announced to the public.

The objectives of the program:

Showcase the athletic performance of Canadian ski racers
Recognize the dedication of exceptional volunteers and officials
Further develop the awareness of ski racing in Canada
Create role models for the next generation of ski racers in Canada

The Selection Process:

A committee formed by officials from Alpine Canada Alpin has been created to select a winner. All applications will remain confidential.
Each application will be evaluated by the selection committee using specific selection criteria prior to determining the finalists in each category.
In the event a single Nominator is submitting multiple applications, a separate application must be filled for each nominee.
